bunny.net is a prepaid service. Charges are deducted from your balance as you use services. If your balance runs out, we keep charging for usage and your balance becomes negative. You remain responsible for all charges on your account, including those made while the balance is negative.
Enable Auto-Recharge to top up automatically before
your balance runs out.
Why a balance can go negative
Usage is billed after it happens, in short intervals. If you use more between two billing runs than your remaining balance covers, the balance goes below zero.
Charges that continue
Some charges don’t depend on traffic. They continue while your balance is negative and while your account is disabled, for as long as the resource exists or the feature is enabled:
- Storage zones and Stream video storage, billed per GB stored
- Magic Containers persistent volumes and attached Anycast IPs
- Database storage
- The $1 minimum monthly usage
To stop these charges, delete the resources or disable the features you no longer need.
When your balance reaches zero
- You are notified. We email you daily while your balance is negative, and the dashboard shows a warning.
- Auto-Recharge runs if you have it enabled. The payment covers your recharge amount plus the negative amount, so your balance returns to the amount you chose.
- You can’t create new resources until your balance is positive again.
- Your account is disabled if the balance is not topped up within 4 days of going negative. We may disable an account sooner, for example for new accounts or large negative amounts.
When your account is disabled
All your services go offline. Your files and configuration are kept, and you can still log in to the dashboard to top up.
Usage charges stop because the services stop. The charges listed above continue, so your balance can keep falling while the account is disabled.
Restoring your account
Top up enough to bring your balance to zero or above. Your account and services are re-enabled immediately. The negative amount is deducted from the top-up. For example, with a balance of -$4, a $10 top-up leaves $6.
Data deletion
If your account stays disabled for 60 days, your stored data is permanently deleted. This includes storage zones, video libraries, and Magic Containers apps and volumes. Deleted data can’t be recovered.
We send several warning emails before deleting your data, starting 30 days before the deletion date. Last modified on September 10, 2026
