Perks and benefits designed to support our bunnies’ best work

Posted by:

At bunny.net, we see perks and benefits as practical ways to support how people work day to day. They’re designed to fit different routines and working styles, rather than forcing everyone into the same mold. They’re also a reflection of one of our core values: we do it all as a team and have fun along the way.

Remote first

We've always been a remote-first company. Without long commutes, our bunnies can reclaim time that fuels productive days. And for those who crave a bit of in-person connection, we love seeing teammates cash in their three-night HQ voucher. They’ll hop into the office, meet the bunnies behind the Slack avatars, grab coffee with the chief bunny in charge (if he’s in town), or simply soak in the energy that comes from being together for a few days.

Work that leaves room for life

Once people settle into their remote routine, their workspace often becomes the spot that really supports how they think and create. Our yearly €500 home office budget has led to all kinds of small transformations. We’ve seen jungle-themed offices overflowing with plants, espresso corners that would make a barista cry tears of joy, cozy reading nooks, and ultra-ergonomic workstations that look like spaceship control centers. These setups turn into little snapshots of who we are, built right into the homes where we spend our workdays.

Home office setups done right

Of course, working well doesn’t mean working nonstop. We believe deeply in rest, both big and small. Vacation time is about truly disconnecting from work, giving your brain space to breathe, recharge, and come back ready to hop again, whether that means a packed adventure or doing absolutely nothing at all. So, we start everyone with twenty-five vacation days and add loyalty days until you reach thirty. People use this well-deserved time off in all kinds of inspiring ways. Some disappear into the mountains, others head out on long road trips, and one teammate once described their time off at home as “vacationing in my castle,” which still makes us smile. And if someone wakes up under the weather, they take a sick day with no hesitation and no guilt. Health comes first. Always.

That same belief in genuine rest carries into the way we support families. Welcoming a child changes everything, and we want that transition to feel supported, never rushed. Birthing parents receive sixteen paid weeks and non-birthing parents receive eight paid weeks, always aligning with or exceeding local laws. Parents can take their leave all at once or spread it throughout the first year to match what their family needs. And since new parenthood often comes with a collection of sleepless nights and unpredictable routines, having real time to settle in makes a world of difference.

Growth that evolves with you

As life and work grow and shift, our learning culture grows with it. Our €500 annual learning budget gives everyone the chance to invest in personal and professional growth in ways that meaningfully support their role or long-term development at bunny.net. Some people use it to sharpen skills they rely on every day, while others explore interests they see becoming relevant as their work evolves. One bunny even used the budget to attend a conference that supported their own growth while also representing bunny.net. Courses, books, workshops, and subscriptions all count. When people invest in learning that connects back to their work or future direction, that energy naturally finds its way into the work we do together.

Meeting-free Thursdays

Alongside learning and exploration, we also make space for focus. One day each week is reserved for deep, uninterrupted work. Think of it as our collective exhale. Slack quiets down, meetings disappear, and people settle into the kind of focus that is almost impossible to find in an always-on world. No internal meetings (unless everyone agrees), no interruptions, just space to think deeply and work. This practice supports our drive to hop higher every time by giving everyone uninterrupted time to solve hard problems, experiment with new ideas, and refine projects that benefit from long stretches of concentration. We’re intentional about listening, adjusting, and making this something that genuinely supports the team. It is a small ritual with a big impact, and it helps the whole fluffle keep hopping higher.

Our annual flufflebuilding

And then there is the energy that comes from being together in person. One of the highlights of every year is our flufflebuilding gathering. Once a year, the whole team travels to a sunny spot to spend a few days together in person. As cliché as it might sound, these trips always feel a bit magical. People laugh together, share snacks from home, and jump into things like graffiti workshops, cooking classes, surfing attempts where wading in the water technically counted, and tuk-tuk adventures that somehow stayed fun even in the rain. The conversations flow more easily when we are side by side, and the connections we build feel very different from anything that can happen on a video call. We have so much fun that there is always a joke about needing support groups afterward to cope with our separation anxiety or the soft wave of post-flufflebuilding depression. It’s all in good fun, but we do care deeply about mental well-being, and our mental health support benefit is there to help our bunnies through whatever highs and lows life brings. We partner with BetterHelp.com so everyone has access to professional support.

The wellness budget that brings movement into our day

For a remote team, movement and exercise matter a lot. With our €480 wellness budget, everyone is encouraged to build healthy habits into their day in whatever way works for them. Some of our bunnies use their budget for walking pads (which we should probably be brand ambassadors for at this point), yoga mats, gym memberships, fitness plans, nutrition programs, or any tools that help them stay active during long work sessions. A few teammates have even turned their spare rooms into mini gyms. Daily movement has become such a normal part of our routine that you will often see someone walking on their pad during a meeting or during our biweekly all-bunnies call.

Music adds to that rhythm, because each teammate gets a yearly Apple Music, YouTube Premium, or Spotify subscription that brings in everything from lo-fi beats to classical focus playlists, fully supported by our music budget. When we take care of our bodies, the day just feels smoother, and that makes it easier to do our best work.

Staying active is a MUST in our fluffle

Built for the long run

The way we think about perks and benefits is simple: they should make work feel sustainable, not performative. What matters most to us is creating an environment where people can bring consistency, curiosity, and care to what they do without burning out or feeling boxed in. By giving teammates room to manage their energy and protect their focus, we create the conditions for stronger collaboration and more thoughtful problem solving. That balance is what allows ambitious ideas to take shape and evolve over time, instead of feeling rushed or forced. This approach shapes how we work together every day, and it continues to grow along with our team. If you are curious about being part of that journey, we would love for you to take a look at our open roles.
