Improving our free trial! More flexibility and a better experience

At bunny.net, we believe that trying our platform should be simple, transparent, and tailored to your needs. After all, every customer is different. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our revamped free trial experience that puts you in full control and empowers you to test our platform in ways that matter to you.

For years, we offered a free trial based on a 14-day period and a 1 TB traffic limit because CDN was our core product. While this worked initially, our innovation into other product offerings and different use cases led us to rethink our free trial process. With new products under new pricing models, a traffic limit no longer made sense. 

Additionally, as we expanded, our traditional free trial model left us open to abuse since all non-CDN products were originally offered for free during the trial period. As our vision for bunny.net grew along with our expanded product offering, we knew there had to be a better way. That’s why we are proud to introduce a new free trial model that is a win for both us and our customers.

A free trial that offers greater flexibility, clarity, and value

With new products on the horizon, our new monetary-based trial ensures you can explore our ecosystem without worrying about limits that don’t apply to your use case. Whether you’re testing CDN traffic, Edge Scripting, or our upcoming features, you can focus on what matters to you without unnecessary restrictions.

We designed this updated free trial with your challenges in mind. Instead of restricting you with a bandwidth cap, our new trial system provides a monetary balance to spend across any of our products, including those that aren't typically charged by bandwidth. We want you to have the freedom to explore everything bunny.net offers, including CDN traffic, storage, Edge Scripting, and upcoming product offerings.

This change only affects new free trials. If you are currently on a free trial during this change, your trial will continue under the original 1 TB bandwidth model. Here’s how it works:

• Every user starts with $20 of trial credits upon signup. No credit card is required.
• If you link a credit card to your account, you will receive an additional $30, giving you a total of $50 in trial credits.
• Your free trial ends when either:
• 14 days have passed since you signed up, or
• Your $50 trial balance has been fully used.

Clarity and transparency

We’ve built this system to make your trial experience as clear as possible. You’ll always know how much balance you have left, what you’ve spent it on, and how to make the most of it. This transparency helps you plan and experiment without surprises, whether you’re testing for a small project or evaluating us for your next big launch.

The account dashboard makes it easy to track the duration of your free trial. You’ll see a clear display of how many days remain and how much of your trial balance is still available.

We want you to have full visibility into how your trial balance is spent. Trial usage by products This graph shows which bunny.net products you’re using and how much credit each has consumed, making it easy to understand and adjust your usage.

More value to explore

We’re bringing more value than ever. With a total of up to $50 in trial credits, you can now try our fastest CDN on the market with even more than the previous 1 TB traffic-free tier limit (based on Standard CDN tier costs in the U.S. and EU regions).

Recharge without worry

Another huge improvement to our trial accounts is that recharging your account no longer ends your free trial. Previously, adding funds to your account immediately moved you out of trial mode. Now, you can recharge your account and continue using your trial credits throughout the full 14-day period or until your full trial balance is spent, whichever comes first. 

This means you can fully explore bunny.net with the freedom to top up anytime. And, if you link your credit card, any remaining trial balance will be used before your top-up funds kick in.

We’ve designed this update to give you more freedom to explore and experience bunny.net in a way that fits your unique needs. Just add funds to continue using bunny.net seamlessly.
